Cannabis oil suppositories are the best way to take cannabis oil (It is most effective taken rectally). Research shows that THC is absorbed better into the body rectally than orally. Rectal administration of cannabis oil gives the best results, taking cannabis oil orally has excellent results, while smoking Marijuana comes in third in terms of medicinal application. Many medicinal compounds are destroyed during smoking.

What is the difference between cannabis oil and hemp oil?

Cannabis and Hemp are the same plant!  The difference between them is in the amount of THC that the plant produces.  It has been defined that a Hemp plant is a cannabis plant containing less than 0.3 percent THC.

Hemp Oil made from a Hemp plant won’t  get you high. CBD oils are made from this low-THC plant.  But, THC has huge medical value and THC oil (oil that also contains THC as well as everything else in the plant) has the best medicinal value.

What is the difference between THC and CBD?

CBD is Cannabidiol.  THC is Tetrahydrocannabinol.  Both of these are cannabinoids are found in the cannabis plant.  They are very similar, but small differences have big effects.  Experts aren’t completely sure how CBD works with the Endocannabinoid System, but they do know that it does not bind to CB1 or CB2 receptors the way THC does.

Instead, many believe it works by preventing endocannabinoids from being broken down and this allows CBD to have more of an effect on your body. Others believe that CBD binds to a receptor that hasn’t been discovered yet.

CBD is however known to work in entourage with THC to produce better effects than either of them can alone.

How is cannabis oil extracted?

Here at Cannabis Oil South Africa, our Phoenix Tears medicinal cannabis oil is extracted using isopropyl alcohol, as this is the safest solvent for extraction.  Once the cannabinoids (which are fatty, lipid-type molecules) are dissolved in the alcohol, the solution is heated to a specific temperature to remove the solvent, leaving only the oil behind.

Phoenix Tears cannabis oil uses Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a carrier oil for the remaining extract.
